One Man+Two Wheels = Purpose in Life

One Man+Two Wheels =  Purpose in Life

Leo forever changed my life on a brisk fall Gatineau evening of 2011. He ignited a fire in my soul; I love motorcycles.
My mom had neglected letting me know Leo was coming over, and like a typical preteenager I was watching tv in my underwear.  All of the sudden I heard the doorbell ring and saw a tall African man standing there.  After supper, he told he told me while living in Taiwan, he and his brother had been chased by the police on motorcycles. I was sitting with my mouth open intrigued. I wanted more motorcycle stories.
Leo and I continued emailing and texting even after I moved back to Saskatoon. Our conversations led to me  purchasing my first motorcycle, a Honda VT500C Ascot. I didn't even  have my license yet!
That same night I changed the carburetors and got it running. I recorded a video and sent it to Leo. He congratulated me enthusiastically and called me a young mechanic. It felt good!
The next day I sold it for more than it was worth. Leo was just as excited as I was! From that moment on, I was hooked.
I realized  then and there I wanted a motorcycle career.
I turned sixteen, and with my driver’s license, my mother's approval and Leo’s blessings  I signed up to get my motorcycle learner’s license. This was one giant step on my path to a motorcycle career.
Later that summer, I realized  I not only wanted to ride and fix motorcycles, I also want to write about them. I am  going to be a road test editor for a motorcycle magazine.
To travel the world and test motorcycles, now that’s a job! To have a mentor like Leo, that's priceless.

2015 BMW S1000RR

2015 BMW S1000 RR

The BMW S1000RR  debuted in 2009, has been redesigned for 2015. It has gained 6 hp over last years model due to reshaped intake ports, revised cam-profile, lighter valves and shorter velocity stacks which suck more air into the larger air box. The S1000RR now has an optional dynamic package that comes with dynamic damping control (DDC) LED turn signals, Hp gearshift assist pro and heated grips.

This motorcycle not only is a piece of art,  it is also really fast with a claimed 199 hp and 0 - 60 mph in 2.6 sec. The S1000RR bike can beat out many of  the other super cars, on the road today, for a tenth of the cost.  A matter of fact it only cost  $21,600 dollars Canadian. So if you want this bike, resist the temptation of taking out a loan from the bank because hard work pays off boys and girls. Start collecting bottles and cans. You might want to consider getting a second job at a motorcycle dealership like I did, but I will tell you about that on a later date.

I'm a sixteen year old red-blooded Canadian who just passed his motorcycle safety course (MSF). When I saw this bike, I fell in love with the sleek lines and intoxicating sound of the 999cc inline 4. Now I know that  a 999cc is way too much for a first bike, but this is a bike I plan on purchasing when I become a more experienced rider. It is a good thing I discovered motorcycling young. My future girlfriend will  have to like motorcycles because I am just too passionate to not have them in my life. You know what they say once you get a taste of what motorcycling has to offer it becomes an addiction. It is better to have a motorcycle addiction than drugs. Since I live in Canada there is only 6 months of riding season, but with those heated grips I would be able to get 7 months.
